So. Thieves and TARDISes is a Doctor Who actual play podcast thing… a podcast the creation of which I have precisely nothing to do with, for the record, it's just awesome. One of the players scores the thing with original music — mostly, or public domain — and the music is emotional, and ethereal, in a kind of Steven-Universe-like manner… I have dreamt of that music. Anyway, here's an informational Carrd with a bunch of links, which the people behind it maintain… Go 'support the official release', as the parlance goes. Go buy Kitty Eden a coffee. I'm just doing this for fun.
The thing is, though, that T&T is released in a… nnn… slightly inconvenient format. … It's a Google Doc with a table, which contains the file links and the transcripts and the descriptions. And it's a beautiful one, but you can't really work with it, in any way. I've been known to say that 'it isn't a podcast unless it's available in an RSS-like format, parseable by podcast structure parsers'… and all the official ways Google Docs are displayed aren't even very nice as HTML goes. Sorry.
This la, I'm going to start manually maintaining an RSS feed file for it, one that podcast apps can actually work with.
The RSS file (up to around december 2024, or T&T Unraveled: It Happened Again)
A short list of compromises I've had to make:
